Foods that are friendly to our skin

I cibi amici della nostra pelle

Taking care of your skin with cosmetic products of a different nature is good, but completing everything with care that starts from the inside is even better.

In fact, our skin needs to be pampered also starting from the choice of healthy foods, which help the well-being of our body and our skin.

Pumpkin, tomato, blue fish, dried fruit and green tea; let's find out how these 5 foods will help your skin look healthy, radiant and young!

Pumpkin

Pumpkin, in addition to being a much loved food, contains vitamin A which stimulates cell renewal. Deeply hydrates, contributing to healthier and brighter skin. The beta-caroton contained within it then acts by normalizing the production of sebum. Finally, pumpkin is also an excellent ally against acne as it helps keep the pores clean, in particular pumpkin seeds are rich in zinc, the deficiency of which is often the basis of the appearance of acne.

Tomato

Tomato is rich in Vitamin C, the main responsible for the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid. Collagen, which is particularly popular in cosmetics, acts by making the skin extremely elastic and robust. Hyaluronic acid, on the other hand, contributes to the beauty of our skin and for this reason, it is also contained in quality cosmetic products.

Finally, the tomato also contains one of the most powerful antioxidants in existence: lycopene which, among other advantages, protects against the risk of burns.

Blue fish

Salmon, mackerel, anchovies and sardines. Blue fish contains Omega 3, or those so-called "good" fats that guarantee protection from harmful external agents such as UV rays, keeping the hydrolipidic film of the skin intact. Blue fish is also rich in minerals and vitamins A which help the well-being of the body and skin by stimulating cell renewal.

Dried fruit

With its vitamin E, dried fruit besides having a good taste, is also a friend of your skin thanks to its antioxidant properties.

Omega 3, which as we have seen are contained in blue fish, are also widely present in dried fruit, and in particular in walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts. These foods help ensure proper hydration not only of the skin but also of the hair.

Green tea

This hot drink boasts numerous antioxidants, enzymes and B vitamins. All these components work on our complexion, fighting the signs of aging and the appearance of pimples and other skin blemishes. Among the other benefits of green tea there is also the elimination of skin toxins and the reduction of inflammation with a strong contrast mechanism that is activated against blemishes and scars.

As we have seen, adopting a healthy diet is essential not only for the well-being of our body but also of our skin. Don't forget that finding the right balance is important to being healthy and looking beautiful!
