In this article, we discover 3 truly effective and completely DIY eye masks!

Eye contour mask for dry and marked skin: Honey and Yogurt

Honey, with its emollient and antioxidant properties, and yogurt, which can nourish the skin, can work effectively together to hydrate the delicate area around the eyes and give a youthful and fresh look.

How to Prepare It:

  1. Take two tablespoons of honey and place it in a bowl or small plate. Add a teaspoon of yogurt and mix everything very well.
  2. for an extra boost, you can choose to add two or three drops of a vegetable oil, such as extra virgin olive oil or sweet almond oil.
  3. Once a homogeneous compound is obtained, apply it to the affected area and leave it in place for 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.

This mask can be stored in the refrigerator for a couple of days. The freshness of the mixture obtained after leaving it in the refrigerator also helps to further decongest the area. Finally, this mask can also be effectively used on the rest of the face!

Eye contour mask with visible bags: Sweet Almond Oil and Chamomile

For particularly puffy under-eye areas, two indispensable beauty allies are Almond Oil and Chamomile. These two ingredients can reduce swelling in the area beneath the eye, thanks to their effective mechanisms of action: chamomile has soothing and decongestant properties, while almond oil provides hydration to the entire area.

How to prepare it:

The procedure for preparing this mask is very simple and can be summarized in three steps:

  1. First, you need to take a tablespoon of sweet almond oil and, using your fingers, massage the area around the eyes. Leave it on for a few minutes.
  2. In the meantime, prepare the chamomile: heat a small pot with a little water, and once it comes to a boil, let two chamomile tea bags steep for about 5 minutes.
  3. Then wait for the chamomile to cool down and at that point apply the tea bags directly over your eyes. The cold, combined with the decongestant properties of the ingredients, will be a real boon for your gaze.

Eye contour and puffiness mask: tea bags and coconut oil

Tea bags, especially those of black or green tea, help to relax the eye area and the contour of the eyes, also acting as anti-aging treatments. Coconut oil, on the other hand, is soothing, moisturizing, and rich in vitamin E. This combination is therefore perfect for reducing puffiness around the eyes and hydrating the skin.

How to prepare it:

  1. Apply the coconut oil generously around the eyes and on the eyelids, gently massaging the entire area. You can also use a cotton ball to help.
  2. Bring a small pot of water to a boil and then let the two tea bags steep for a few minutes.
  3. Once the infusion and the tea bags have cooled down but are still damp, you can proceed to apply them directly on the eyes. Leave on for about 15 minutes.

"After trying this mask, your eyes will appear less puffy and your skin much more hydrated, thanks to the rich complex of antioxidants and vitamins contained in these ingredients."
